Delivery Driver

Wheel & Sprocket is a growing, nationally-recognized specialty bicycle retailer with 11 brick-and-mortar locations and an e-commerce operation. The person in this position is part of the Operations Team responsible for delivering and receiving inventory, loading/unloading trucks, handling inter-store inventory transfers, sorting & organizing products, and general operational support.
Technical Responsibilities:
Vehicle responsibilities
Comply with driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions
Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules with the ability to drive up to 300 miles a day
Inspecting vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues and schedule maintenance
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly truck and work area
Logistics and safety responsibilities
Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized and positive warehouse/logistics environment
Transport bikes and other inventory to and from Wheel & Sprocket locations
Meet medium level physical exertion requirements, ability to frequently lift packages weighing up to 55 lbs: Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products and materials
Electronically process orders for multiple internal clients and external suppliers. Verify that proper documentation is attached
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
Communication and collegiality responsibilities
Communicate problems, concerns and ideas to management. Identify process improvements
Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines
Follow oral and/or written instruction
Attention to detail and good time management skills
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets
Personal Responsibilities

Other Notes
We are looking for a detail-oriented associate who is reliable, punctual and safety-minded, with a strong work ethic. It is also important that you display a positive, helpful demeanor, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, as well as an office environment. Conditions are based on delivery destinations, and will include exposure to all weather. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, no recent moving or driving violations and be willing to submit background/drug checks.
This position is in Milwaukee, WI near the MKE Airport. Hours: Full time 40 hours per week.
