I'm a female lawyer who has gone through the most harrowing experience in the last 9 months - sexually harassed by multiple males, in a lawsuit. My Court of Appeals brief is due 4/14/25. A 10 page draft is done. I'm only good at inserting facts. I need someone to really express what I went through. It's hard for me to do it, because of the emotional pain I have experienced at the hands of all these male attorneys - but also because I'm not a great writer, and have a hard time expressing pain and emotions. I'm a trial attorney, by occupation - not an appellate attorney (those are the people who do the persuasive writing). Hiring an Appellate attorneys costs thousands of dollars, so I did it alone. This COA brief means so very much to me - on a personal level - I want it to really stand out to the Court of Appeals - what all these men did. It's hard to fight the patriarchy alone.
