Take the next step in your career and join a winning team!Position SummaryThis position will be responsible for engineering and developing multiple mechanical systems to sustain, improve, and expand the existing product lines.Essential Functions of the Job
Engineering design and documentation including detailed and assembly drawings of structural weldments and vacuum, water pressure, and hydraulic systems, and integration with electrical systems.
Engineering analysis including structural analysis, drive system calculations, product validation testing, and component selection.
Create and maintain engineering documentation using standard engineering practices.
Create and maintainbills of materials.
Participate in the ECO process and perform related changes and
Collaborate with production team and vendors to produce designs that minimize labor and overall cost.
Provide technical support for production and service to help troubleshoot problems as needed.
Participate in process improvement projects to continually improve business practices.
Support business activities by providing engineering responses to other departments.
Knowledge, Skills and, Abilities (KSA’s)
Ability to develop and detail component and assembly designs of complex systems using SolidWorks
Ability to perform advanced calculations, verification, and documentation
Ability to give work direction to Mechanical Designers and review their work
High organizational and creative aptitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to plan and organize weekly, and monthly activities
Must be able to meet project deadlines
Expert knowledge of the relative products
Exhibit a high level of customer focus
Hands-on attitude and ability to climb ladders
Valid driver’s license
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field necessary
Minimum two (2) years of product design or machine design experience and DFMA
Working ConditionsPrimary working conditions will be office work with frequent daily activities in the manufacturing shop, and occasional activities working on equipment outdoors in any possible weather conditions. Occasional travel to suppliers, trade shows, and or customer worksites.
