Role Overview:The Global Procurement Organization is driving a transformation agenda, driving increased levels of collaboration and a more strategic global approach to category management, enabling simplification and standardization of Procurement category and processWe are looking for a candidate with a high level of Procurement process knowledge and project management ability with experience helping to drive strategic initiatives in the Procurement Organization. The currently in plan and executed initiatives include Strategic Category Management (SCM) and Negotiation Gold Standard (NGS). Additional activity areas will be in Procurement Talent & Capability building and the maintenance of the processes associated with Category Risk Mitigation Strategy. This person should be highly organized with the ability to multi-task, demonstrate strong communication and data analysis skills and have the ability to work independently with a broad set of leaders and stakeholders. The aptitude to meet deadlines through effective prioritization, understand strategic needs, build relationships, and work under pressure while demonstrating the willingness to be a team player will further strengthen the application. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is critical.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing Excellence & Negotiation Gold Standard Primarily to support the coaching of Procurement teams to ensure proper understanding and application of SCM to build effective Category Strategies, but also to provide leadership for NGS to enable successful negotiations. Be the global lead for SCM and NGS and follow up with teams to ensure individuals meet capability expectations. Review individual SCM and NGS strategies to ensure Procurement team members are setting stretch goals and challenging paradigms as well as applying SCM and NGS tools appropriately. Lead and collaborate with Procurement teams across the globe as a subject matter expert for the deployment of processes, tools and best practices for SCM and NGS to ensure rigor and strategic thinking. Engage with global Procurement team members to seek feedback for continuous improvement of processes to maximize efficiency and value delivery. Maintain an effective business relationship with all customers and resources based on clear, concise, and personal communication. Gain necessary input and cross functional expertise whilst influencing acceptance, agreement, and support from key stakeholders to ensure ultimate compliance and support. Build and manage project timelines, content, tools and training for SCM and NGS.Essential knowledge / Experience:Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with 8+ years of experience in Procurement or Broader Supply Chain.
Experience working as a Procurement Category Manager (multiple categories preferred)
High proficiency in Excel
Experience working in a complex global/diverse environment.
Self-motivated and assertive with internal and external contacts.
Ability to influence without authority.
Ability to reconcile diverse business strategies and challenges.
Interacts with the most senior levels of the Corporation and therefore must be able to effectively communicate and influence leaders and their deputies across cultures.
Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams within an organization.
Must have strategic thinking, collaboration, and change management capabilities.
Strong data analytics. Skilled in communication, presentations, project management, and change management
