Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in New Berlin, Wisconsin. As a Bookkeeper, you will be tasked with managing both accounts payable and receivable, taking charge of bank and ledger reconciliations, and overseeing payroll processing. Your role will also involve tracking fixed assets, preparing depreciation schedules, and supervising clerical staff. Responsibilities: Handle the processing of accounts payable and receivable with a high level of accuracy Oversee the reconciliation of bank statements and ledgers Manage payroll processing tasks meticulously Keep track of fixed assets and prepare relevant depreciation schedules Supervise the work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers Prepare the trial balance and ensure its accuracy Conduct month-end closings and report findings to the management team Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for data entry and bookkeeping tasks Ensure the Account Reconciliation process is carried out efficiently Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
