The Buyer is responsible for purchasing related to machine and parts procurement. Conducts analysis on best procurement solutions for continued improvements related to cost, quality, and delivery of parts. Ensures supplier performance through effective procurement planning and order status tracking.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and issue Purchase Orders to suppliers per system requirements and negotiated pricing per contracts and benchmarked quoting.Manage procurement tasks including order acknowledgements, SAP system updates, RFQ's, BOM's, and print packages for large projects.Track and report on supplier performance metrics including on-time delivery, late orders, and expedite requests.Review invoices for discrepancies and coordinate resolution with suppliers and accounting.Manage quality defect issues, supplier returns, and credits in coordination with PUQ.Identify and implement cost savings opportunities for catalog and drawing parts in collaboration with Central Purchasing and strategic partners.
