I am looking for someone to help run my AirBnb. I have two AirBnbs and this posting is for my location 5 minutes outside of Frederic.
This would be a great side gig for someone that works from home or is just looking to make a little extra cash.
You will be responsible for:
- responding to/approving guest bookings and questions.
- cleaning in between guests, changing linens and washing dirty linens
If you don't have a smart phone I can provide one.
Guests must check out by 11:00 and check-in starts at 4pm. If there are back-to-back bookings you will have to come to clean between those times. If there are 1 or more days between bookings you can come at your leisure. Guests check in with a key-code. You don't need to be there for check-ins or check-outs.
I have been running AirBnbs for several years now and I keep things VERY simple. It usually takes me 5-20 minutes to clean between guests + time waiting for laundry to finish. I have multiple sets of towels/linens. So, you can put on new linens without having to wait for the old ones to wash/dry. We can work together on the process to make it more efficient. Since we both will benefit from a well run AirBnb, we both have incentive to make things simple and easy to maintain. I will be open to suggestions for improvement.
There is the occasional guest that leaves a mess. If that happens, guests will be charged and you will make part of that extra cleaning fee.
I will keep up with messages on AirBnb when I can, but I manage multiple properties so it's very important that you be the available for the most part during the day.
Your pay cut will be 20% of the profits from the AirBnb.
I am still working on pricing, but my goal is to be able to average $2000/month, with a very high season in the summer to a very low season during the winter. So, you would make on average $400 month, with peak months of May-Sept likely being 2-4 times that amount ($800-$1600).
You will be paid through AirBnb as a co-host. You must be 18 or older to be a co-host.
The AirBnb is right on the Ice Age Trail. Many hikers need shuttles and you could offer to shuttle for a fee. You obviously must have a drivers license and vehicle to do this.
