Position Overview:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate all winery operations, including sales, marketing, finance, and human resources.

Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the winery in accordance with the winery’s mission and goals.

Negotiate and review all contracts and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with all financial and legal obligations.

Lead, motivate, develop, and direct staff, while also managing personnel issues or grievances.

Manage the budget, track and monitor cash flow, and ensure accurate financial accounting and reporting.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.

Review sales figures and assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies.

Maintain relationships with stakeholders such as suppliers and customers.

Analyze current operations, product offerings, and markets to create plans for growth and development.

Represent the winery at relevant conferences and tradeshows.

Create and maintain an environment of safety and excellence for our staff and customers.

Education and Experience:

2-3 years in Hospitality Management required.

2-3 years in Restaurant Management preferred but not required.

Must be ServSafe Manager Certified (if certification is not currently active, will go through certification prior to serving customers).

Proven track record of success in managing a team.

Skills and Qualifications:

Expert knowledge of wine production, licensing, and regulations preferred but not required;

Proven ability in developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and customers.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Knowledge of the wine industry and market trends.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Minimum two years’ experience in a management role within a food service setting or comparable industry

Professional appearance and demeanor.

General math skills, be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Communicates with team, guests, vendors, and colleagues effectively.

Must be able to work independently and within a team.

Must be able to prioritize and be organized and work with a sense of urgency while keeping calm under pressure.

Must be able to work during peak times, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be creative, outgoing and possess great communication and leadership skills.

Must have the ability to multitask and complete duties, tasks, and projects, despite interruptions.

Must be open to change, and able to be responsive and flexible to last-minute requests.

Must have the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. repeatedly.

Must be a self-starter and have the ability to complete duties, tasks and projects with little or no supervision.

Must be passionate about winning and leading a team to meet/exceed company goals.

Proficient or familiar with POS (WineDirect), Microsoft Office, Wordpress, social media platforms.

Benefits, Vacation and Holiday Information:

Pay: $60,000 to $70,000 per year based on experience.
