Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with experience in Wire EDM or OD Grinding to join our 2nd shift team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with precision manufacturing equipment. The company specializes in manufacturing defense equipment, providing a wide range of manufacturing, assembly, and value-added engineering services for Ships, Ground Vehicles, Aircraft, and Soldier Systems.
Location: Grantsburg, WI
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience as a Machine Operator (with no higher education)
1-2 years of experience with a certificate or associate degree in a related field
Experience with either Wire EDM -or- OD Grinding preferred
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision and quality
Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Responsibilities:
Operate and set up Wire EDM or OD Grinding machines to produce parts according to specifications
Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools
Maintain machine accuracy through proper setup and adjustments
Read engineering drawings and work orders to determine machining requirements
Follow safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation
Be able to commute onsite to Grantsburg, WI 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday)
