Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Inventory Clerk in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Operating within the logistics industry, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations by checking in drivers, managing necessary paperwork, maintaining databases, and overseeing inventory control. Responsibilities: Oversee the process of checking in drivers upon their arrival, which includes verifying their identities, recording arrival times, and confirming their assigned routes and loads. Handle and maintain necessary paperwork such as logs, invoices, and manifests related to the trucking operations with precision and attention to detail. Manage a comprehensive and up-to-date database of all inbound and outbound drivers, trucks, and inventory through data entry and database management. Ensure the truck and transportation equipment inventory is accurately accounted for and logged correctly. Enforce compliance with company policies and safety standards, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed correctly, drivers meet regulatory compliance standards, and any issues, damages or discrepancies are reported promptly. Requirements Possess a minimum of 1 year experience in an inventory control or related role Proficient in using 'About Time' software for inventory management Capable of answering inbound calls promptly and professionally Experience in performing various clerical duties, including mail distribution, document preparation, and meeting coordination Proven experience in administrative assistance, including scheduling, correspondence, and report generation Familiarity with filing systems, both physical and digital, and ability to maintain organized and accurate records Proficient in data entry tasks with high attention to detail Ability to manage check-in procedures effectively, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
