Our engineering and product innovation help keep soldiers and firefighters safe, is critical in building and keeping communities clean and helps people do their jobs every day.THE ROLEThe Lead Internal Auditor reports to the Manager of Internal Audit and supports Corporate Finance and the business units in the performance of internal audits, internal control compliance efforts, analyzing the impact of new accounting standards and internal control requirements, integrating acquisitions, identification and communication of internal control issues and opportunities, and the support of the resolution of these issues and opportunities. This position may require domestic and international travel and has the opportunity to rotate out in three to four years or as opportunities become available.YOUR IMPACT

Responsible for working with the Digital Technology organization and others to ensure adequate internal controls are in place during the implementation of new systems and processes.

Lead the project management and execution of the Sarbanes-Oxley program.

Lead the implementation of data analysis procedures to improve the department’s ability to audit business transactions more effectively.

Assist with the implementation of internal controls compliance for future acquisitions.

Responsible for working with the external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to support the efficient and effective execution of audits.

Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.

Travel to business units (approximately 10% travel) with 1 or 2 international trips per year.

Perform other duties as assigned.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Information Systems or equivalent.

8-plus years of related experience.

Knowledge in business and industry standards, internal controls, governance, risk and compliance, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, analytical and attention to detail skills.

Solid, consistent project management skills.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

CISA, CIA, CISSP, or CPA certification.

Knowledge of business processes and information system controls in data analytics using Alteryx, ACL or IDEAL in a JD Edwards environment is required.

Experience with internal auditing in a manufacturing environment.
