Supervise and assign work for the User Experience Research team.
Leads user research strategy and process for a variety of digital channels; including but not limited to web, mobile, messaging.
Consistently acts as user advocate, effectively utilizes quantitative and qualitative user research, synthesis, and validation techniques to identify and fully understand user experience gaps and provide strategy recommendations that meet business and user requirements.
Directs self, and team, on discovery and validation research process for complex, large-scale digital projects.
Uses metrics, data and insights to identify problems and inform test strategies and plans.
Able to convert insights into stories and recommendations; confidently and accurately convey recommendations to senior management. Leverages stakeholder feedback to improve future research and solutions.
Facilitate internal stakeholder interviews to learn potential impact of projects on other departments, and conduct market, industry and competitor analysis to leverage insights from other websites to define best in class digital experiences.
Lead effective design sprints that engage stakeholders in the design process, encourages knowledge contribution, and determines true user problems. Deliver insights, recommendations and actionable steps with complete buy-in from necessary parties while solving the prescribed problem.

Defines and tracks usability goals and UX research projects. Prepares reports for and communicates updates to senior management and internal stakeholders.

Collaborates with business analysts and other business stakeholders to identify user needs and product specifications. Maintains strong relationships across organizational boundaries.
Investigates and recommends new emerging research methods and technologies. Identifies improvement opportunities and recommends alternatives.
Effectively prioritizes and executes tasks in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree required. Ideal candidate degree will have a focus in Psychology, Human Factors, UX Design/Research, Cognitive Science, or other relevant fields.
5 to 7 years of verifiable UX research experience, working with complex systems across a variety of industries and touch points
An extensive portfolio that demonstrates a solid understanding of UX research methods, techniques and processes.
Practical experience leading design sprints and similar processes
Familiarity with Axure and Adobe Creative Suite or similar
Familiarity with the Agile project methodology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills
Must be well organized and detail oriented
Ability to operate, multi-task and troubleshoot in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Excellent prioritization skills
