DescriptionThe Maintenance Manager leads employees to safely repair, install, and maintain all machines, equipment, electrical systems, facilities, structures, and grounds in accordance with production specification requirement and policies and procedures. In addition, the Maintenance Manager will develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules, work to resolve equipment issues related to production down time and help implement new equipment and line start-ups.Essential Functions
Supervise and direct all maintenance personnel and any on-site maintenance contractors in the performance of their duties.
Maintain and promote safety in all aspects of the facility including Lockout Tagout, Confined Space Entry, and Hot Work permits.
Maximize capability of equipment to keep them running at all times.
Utilize preventative maintenance schedule to maintain equipment and plant facility.
Financial responsibility for the procurement of all inventory and spare parts ensuring that is realizing the best value for dollars spent.
Accurately plan and execute line and equipment changeovers to minimize down time and maximize efficiency of equipment and resources.
Effectively communicate with subordinates, peers, and the senior leadership team as well as with various other departments and plants.
Promote teamwork by demonstrating a spirit of collaboration and cooperation on projects with other plants and departments striving to meet project objectives.
Maintain and promote strong work ethics and uphold all policies and procedures.
Motivate team through encouragement and acting as a positive role model for all plant team members.
Mentor, train, coach and develop staff so they can be ready to take on more responsibility as the company continues to grow.
Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
An Associate’s degree in supervision or operations management or comparable experience is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, or similar field is preferred.
Prior experience (3-5 years) supervising maintenance employees in a manufacturing environment.
Requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business information, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to write reports and findings and present to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner.
Excellent analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Strong project management skills.
Exceptional organizational skills, along with strong attention to detail.
Excellent multi-tasking skills along with ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining composure and respect for everyone.
Requires strong technical ability, able to take basic electrical/mechanical principles and apply to hands on situations.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information.
Demonstrated excellence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), experience with Google suite, Microsoft Outlook, and CMMS.
