Job Overview:
We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse duties including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and operating forklifts and other heavy equipment including at worksites. This role also includes pick up and delivery of materials in the area, customer service, working with our suppliers regarding materials and being ready to help the team.
Duties:
- Fulfill orders accurately and efficiently
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents. Inspect and verify proper items for each job. Return any unused or incorrect items to ensure accurate inventory
- Operate forklifts, heavy duty trucks, and other heavy equipment
- Utilize computer and email for ordering and management of jobs
- Perform basic maintenance on warehouse equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and warehouse operations. Experience at a roofing, manufacturing or construction company would be ideal.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, reach trucks, and other heavy equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing materials and thinking ahead of about the needs of crews on jobs and ensuring those materials or tools are loaded
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock efficiently
