Slitter BJob Description:Sets up and operates at least 4 different slitting machines while following customer quality specifications, ensuring proper dimensions of rolls, pack quantity and print quality meet specifications. Can identify defects and perform rework/rewinding of rolls. Maintains a minimum average rate, month to month, over 90%. Required to work to established rates and strives to learn all Converting operations. Duties and Responsibilities Must be able to effectively run at least four different Converting Machines Must have an excellent safety record. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Load the Slitting or Printing machines with large roll of film. Set web guides and knives pursuant to customer specifications. Change blades when necessary. Adjusts speed, tension and pressure settings as necessary to maintain proper web tension. Set footage counters and track production quantity. Package finished rolls per IGSS specifications. Label Printing Complete other duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor. Job Qualifications: High School or GED diploma required 6 months to 1 year of previous experience required Great attention to detail required Requires excellent oral communication skills Ability to read and understand work instructions. Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees.
