Description We are seeking an Audit Manager - Public to enhance our team in Waukesha, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be handling financial statement audits, compliance audits, reviews, compilations, and special projects. You will be managing engagement teams, supervising engagement team staff, and maintaining client relationships. Responsibilities: Oversee the management of financial statement audits, compliance audits, reviews, and special projects Lead engagement teams and manage engagement budgets Supervise engagement team staff at all stages of the engagement Develop and foster strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and consultant Ensure timely completion of engagements by proactively interacting and communicating with clients to gather information Oversee the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, compliance reports, and all client communications Identify and apply new accounting and auditing standards, communicate them to client personnel and assurance team members, and manage their implementation Evaluate assurance team member performance and foster team members' growth Lead assurance team training and identify areas for training Proactively identify and communicate opportunities for client and firm process improvements to enhance efficiencies based on knowledge gained relative to each client's operations, processes, and business objectives. Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of public auditing Proficiency in accounting software systems is essential Experience in executing audit programs and managing audit engagements Familiarity with CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax software Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions and budget processes Ability to develop and implement audit plans Proven track record of conducting audits and presenting findings Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with different departments Excellent organizational and time management skills Must have a professional certification in accounting or auditing Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
