CAD BIM Technician

NEXT Electric, LLC seeking full-time BIM Technician in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Job Summary

Responsible for CAD-layout and Building Information Modeling, utilizing AutoCad and Revit.

Produces drawings for electrical power and lighting and makes changes to drawings as necessary.

Creates master drawings showing relationships of proposed installation in facilities.

Works with internal managers/staff and external customers to provide CAD/BIM support.

Attends job site walkthroughs as necessary.

Uses Trimble to layout building points.

Qualifications

Minimum two-year degree in architectural drafting or CAD technology or equivalent combination of education, technical training and work experience.

AutoCad and/or Revit coursework or on-the-job experience.

Proficient in use of PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).

Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) preferred.

Trimble experience preferred.

Prior construction experience preferred.

Strong mathematical skills.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
