Description We are on the lookout for a proficient Interim Sr. Accountant to join our client in Waukesha, Wisconsin. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry. As a Sr. Accountant, your main function will be to handle various accounting tasks such as inventory analysis and audits, reconciliations, depreciation, month-end close processes, and S& U tax reporting.Responsibilities: Oversee the process of inventory posting and review, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Conduct daily reviews of received but not invoiced items, addressing any discrepancies promptly Undertake plant-related tasks including inventory, shipping/receiving, and production reporting Manage reconciliations of inventory accounts, maintaining accurate records Handle pre-paid and depreciation tasks, ensuring compliance with accounting standards Carry out month-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date Conduct thorough inventory audits, identifying and resolving any discrepancies Ensure S& U tax reporting is completed in a timely and accurate mannerRequirements Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role Demonstrates proficiency in performing Month End Close tasks Has previous experience in a manufacturing environment Skilled in Inventory Analysis and conducting Inventory Audits Familiar with calculating and recording Depreciation Expert in performing various types of Reconciliations Holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Strong time management and organizational skills.
