The Palms Supper Club is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in, food preparation, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This position requires strong culinary skills and the ability to interact well with others.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling techniques.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during meal times.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Follow all sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is mandatory.
Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling practices, and kitchen equipment operation is essential.
Experience working in a dietary aide capacity or within a food service environment is advantageous.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods are required.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail is crucial.
