We are seeking an Equipment Service Writer/ Service Advisor for our dealership. Service repair experience with decent knowledge of equipment, diesel, hydraulic and electrical repairs required.
Responsibilities Include
Works with shop foreman and technicians to ensure smooth operations in the service department of our dealership.
Takes and makes phone calls for the equipment service department to answer customer questions, listen to customer issues, make appointments for repairs, give updates on
repairs, get authorization for additional needed repairs, etc.
Opens, writes and bills repair orders.
Work with shop foreman and technicians to formulate repair quotes when requested and schedule equipment repairs to keep a manageable work-flow in the shop.
Manages and schedules technician training. Keeps technicians on track to become certified per manufacturer guidelines. Works with manufacturer service reps and
technicians to formulate plans to achieve training goals.
File warranty claims and recoup warranty dollars in a timely and efficient manner for vendors such as Bobcat, Mahindra, Cub Cadet, Hustler Turf, etc.
Monitor inventory of supplies and vendor specific service tool inventories needed for equipment repairs.
Assists, along with foreman and general manager with the recruitment/ hiring/ review process.
