Questions or need assistance with application: 406-869-8318The main purpose and function of the Hopper Loader is to inspect, load, or reject bulk rail cars and bulk truck with the proper tonnage, keeping tanks at a proper level for continued production. Sampling rail cars and truck and recording numbers and names of cars and trucks loaded.Must have the ability to work any shift and any day.
We operate 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.
This will include working rotating shifts – day, evening, night.
We will Train
Specific responsibilities may include:
Start clean up fan, and roots blower.
Hourly walk around inspections
Spot box cars when needed, position car or truck under proper tank.
Inspect car or truck for defects, foreign material, and leaks
Filling cars/trucks for appropriate levels/weights according to blends, moisture, grinds, and car types.
Sampling each car/truck, taking samples to lab promptly to ensure quality.
Weighing car to ensure proper weights, make corrections as needed.
Equipment maintenance including greasing all screws during shift and turning on clean up fan and bad house shaker once per shift.
Ensure tanks are left at lowest level for next shift.
Keep rail scale and truck scale clean and zeroed as well as cleaning a lubing all rail switches.
Working with Hopper Loader “B” if applicable, to prepare, unload and supplied.
Airbag, take pictures, and seal boxcar.
Fill out appropriate paper work and turn in as required.
Interact with production and maintenance personnel.
Responsible for reporting safety, quality, environmental, and equipment concerns to supervisor.
Work under close supervision.
Make decisions under set guidelines and strict safety rules.
Make recommendations to supervisory personnel.
Achieve specific goals established during the annual performance evaluation.
Give appropriate consideration to safety, quality, and environmental concerns.
Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to
API Specification Q1, 9th Edition requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and
procedures and meeting QMS objectives.

Requirements:Education and training:
General Plant experience preferred but will train.
Basic math and reading skills.
Experience:
Three (3) to six (6) months of General Plant experience preferred.
Experience working in an API Specification Q1, 9th Edition environment a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of car loading equipment and plant production flows.
Operation of both simple and computerized packaging equipment.
Skid steer and track mobile handling skills.
Peer-to-peer and employee-to-supervisor communication skills and interpersonal skills

Frequent climbing of ladders on and off loader.
Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
Frequently lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100
