Provides personal care for Residents under direction of the administrative or clinical staff.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Follows the instructions of the Executive Director.
Engages with residents and provides companionship.
Observe and report any safety hazards found in the community or any significant observations regarding a resident.
Attend staff meetings and participates in orientation of new associates.
Report client complaints to the Executive Director or designee.
Possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Report abnormal findings in residents conditions to the Executive Director or designee.
Have knowledge of the company's policies and procedures.
Provide protective oversight, prevent wandering, and standby assistance.
Proper use of redirection techniques.
Provide miscellaneous assistance to residents such as helping to reach something, find a lost item, etc.
Encourage the resident to exercise and provide standby assistance.
Deliver meals to residents, ensuring they have all that is needed. Collect meal trays upon conclusion of meal service.
Deliver beverages and snacks regularly to residents to ensure proper hydration.
Assist with cleaning duties which may include
Wiping down common area furniture, chair rails, doorknobs, light switches, etc.
Assists in keeping common areas clean and clutter free.
Assist with stocking supplies as necessary.
Is fully knowledgeable of the fire evacuation and disaster policy of the community and participates as assigned in fire and disaster drills.
Demonstrates an understanding of compliance and ethics program policies and procedures.
Completes all mandatory compliance, HIPAA and state and federal regulatory training as required.
Maintains appropriate degree of confidentiality.
Performs other duties as assigned which relate to the success of the company and the Care, Comfort, and Happiness of our residents.
Education: High School or GED preferred.
