We are looking for a passionate Infant Teacher who will be responsible for the care and education of infants in our school. In this position, you will create a safe and nurturing environment for infants to learn and grow. You will also be expected to design and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum to support their development.

Full Job Description Summary

The Lead Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting. The Lead Infant Teachers must have knowledge of child development and plans daily activities and environment of the assigned classroom and supervises the implementation of those plans and policies of Moose Corner Children’s Academy.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

B.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field and one year of experience related to the group care and development of preschool children and/or infants and toddlers.

Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff, families, and children in both written and oral formats.

Possess basic computer skills to include Microsoft Word, use of email and BrightWheel for correspondence.

Ability to lift 40 pounds. Good vision, hearing, mobility to work with children on the floor (up and down) with repetitive stretching and bending. Ability to walk up and down stairs, be outside for extended periods of time and ability to move children in cribs during emergencies. Ability to push a stroller for extended distances with multiple children in the stroller.

Ability to meet all requirements for Employment Eligibility Verification.

Prior to the first day of working with children, complete CPR and first aid training, or present proof of CPR training within the past year and first aid training within the past three years. Update Adult/Infant CPR training and first aid annually.

Possess a clear Wyoming Central Registry check. In addition, there must be a clear finding for other criminal offenses in the Wyoming Criminal History record for not less than five years prior to date of service.

Agree to flexible working hours.

Demonstrate consistent pleasant disposition towards children, families and staff.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

B.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field

1-3 years of experience related to the group care and development of preschool children and/or infants and toddlers.

Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA)

Job Type and Benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: up to $23 per hour, compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a benefits package.
