The main purpose of the Vacuum Truck Operator is to operate vacuuming systems, boom controls and a front-end loader to maintain a safe, clean and environmentally sound environment.
Specific responsibilities may include:
Operating Vacuum Truck and all Operations associated with it.
Complete and Pass Vacuum Truck Operator & Front-End Loader Evaluation
Operate vacuuming systems, boom controls, dump debris body, and operate high rail system.
Operating Front-end Loader
Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Complete Pre and Post shift inspections, log loads, fuel equipment.
Clean all material from rail cars using Vac truck or other clean up facility.
Clean up and dispose of all spilled products from cleaning cars/tracks to dump pit and cover with front-end loader.
Maintain a safe, clean, environmentally sound work area.
Keep track and warehouse areas clean.
When Vac Truck is not being used, Operator/helper can be used to fill in where needed.
Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to API Specification Q1, 9th Edition requirements by complying with the Quality Policy, procedures, and meeting QMS objectives.
Other duties as assigned as allowed by the CBA.
Requirements:
Experience:
Experience preferred, but willing to train.
Experience working in an API Specification Q1, 9th Edition environment a plus
Knowledge and Skills:
Operation of vac truck and front-end loader
Ability to complete and pass vacuum truck operator & front-end loader evaluation.
Understanding of car loading equipment and plant productions flows.
Ability to operate vacuuming systems, boom controls, dump debris body, and operate high rail system.
General mechanical knowledge of loader and Vac Truck
Ability to maintain a safe, clean, environmentally sound work area.
Ability to complete Pre and Post shift inspections, log loads, and fuel equipment.
Record keeping.
Valid CDL.
Communication skills, including peer to peer and employee to supervisor communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to fill in where needed as allowed by the CBA.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
Rotating shift work
Frequently work alone.

Frequently work around machinery and mobile equipment
Must meet deadlines.
