FillStorShip is seeking a professional, skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist with experience using McLeod Freight Broker Software.
Job Summary
In this role, you will play a critical part in managing the financial transactions related to our freight operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
Accurately process and record vendor invoices using McLeod Freight Broker Software.
Review, verify, and match invoices to contracts and load records.
Resolve discrepancies with carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
Prepare and process payment batches, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions and related documentation.
Accounts Receivable
Generate and distribute customer invoices through McLeod software.
Track and reconcile payments received, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger.
Follow up on outstanding payments and coordinate collections efforts as needed.
Address and resolve customer billing inquiries professionally and efficiently.
General Financial Duties
Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure financial data accuracy.
Generate financial reports, including aging reports and cash flow statements, from McLeod software.
Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to ensure alignment of financial and operational data.
Assist in month-end and year-end financial close processes.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in accounts payable/receivable roles, preferably within the freight or logistics industry.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with McLeod Freight Broker Software is required.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Title: Accounts Payable/Receivable
Pay rate: $16.75 - $21.50 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Position Type: Full-time; Non-exempt
Location: Remote
Schedule: Alternative Work Week Schedule: 40 Hour work week, 7:00 am start time, Flex hours available. Core Hours 7:00 am – 12:00 pm, Available Work Hours 6:00 am – 6:00 pm
