$20/hr to start, with cash tips some days;

We are a small, local moving company that specializes in providing excellent service to interior designers and decorators and their local/regional clients, primarily in the Mountain Brook and over-the-mountain area. We offer the kind of white-glove service that our clients demand, and we pay our people well to provide it. If you have a great attitude, the ability to speak appropriately with clients, and the physical strength and stamina to occasionally carry an extremely delicate yet strangely heavy sofa up a couple flights of stairs unexpectedly, we want to talk to you!
Prior moving experience, delivery work, or other similar experience that demonstrates an ability to think critically while also working very hard, physically, is definitely helpful. Most guys here were former varsity athletes in high school in one or more sports. Being in GREAT physical shape and having a positive attitude every day are the best two qualifications you can have.
The work isn’t always hard, the pay and benefits are great, and the tips are decent. There absolutely will be days when you just ride around delivering new chairs and rugs to grateful clients, collect payments, then dispose of the packaging and clock out without breaking much of a sweat. But then there will always be a few days in the summer when there are full box trucks to unload in the 95 degree heat and we'll be outside for most of it. We pay better than industry average, plus we always pay your full rate for every minute you are on the clock, whether driving, riding, packing, loading, or in a staff meeting, and weekly overtime! For those reasons we are looking for a bit of a different kind of mover/installer.
