We are a small, local furniture delivery company that specializes in providing excellent service to interior designers and decorators and their local/regional clients, primarily in the Mountain Brook and over-the-mountain area. We offer the kind of white-glove service that our clients demand, and we pay our people well to provide it. We are sort of like a moving company, but we don’t do much residential moving any more. We only perform deliveries of new/antique furniture, from 1-100+ pieces per delivery. That’s our specialty, and our clients love our attention to detail.

We are seeking a FULL TIME Warehouse Inventory Manager at our 10,000sf warehouse in Irondale. This role will primarily consist of photographing and inventorying new furniture in boxes as it comes into our loading dock from freight trucks that originate from all over the country. Some days we only get a few trucks delivering to our dock, while other days feature up to 20 incoming deliveries. The Warehouse Inventory Manager will be using our software to input the basic info for each shipment, and then (using an assortment of dollies/handtrucks) will be responsible for rolling the boxes to open shelves throughout our warehouse. We do NOT use forklifts, we move everything “by hand” using pallet jacks, hand trucks, various dollies, and common sense. So you MUST be in pretty good physical shape.

In addition to inputting new inventory, the Warehouse Inventory Manager is also responsible for prepping and boxing furniture, art, mirrors, and décor that are dropped off at our warehouse by clients. Anyone who has ever worked as a professional mover will have lots of experience prepping and/or boxing furniture, lamps, art, mirrors, and décor, and therefore would likely be a good fit for this position. We also have clients who require that we open, inspect, photograph, and upload photos of every incoming shipment for them. The Warehouse Inventory Manager either provides that service himself, or depending on the workload, delegates to other members of our staff.

If you are interested in a job that could be a lucrative job and possibly career, send a detailed email with your name, working phone number (that can receive texts), a description of yourself and past working experience, plus your availability for an informal phone interview (to be followed by an in-person interview for which we pay $20 cash for your time). All information you send us is totally private and will not be shared with ANYONE. If you do not include any info about yourself and a brief description of past experience, you will not receive a reply. We have a great team, we are growing a little bit every year, and this position has room for significant compensation increases over the first few years for true "go-getters" who come to work every day looking to make the business more profitable and efficient than the day before whenever possible.
