Small, established electronic instruments manufacturing firm seeks a meticulous & methodical individual to join our Electronic Assembly team. You will stuff & solder printed circuit boards, assemble wiring harnesses and sub-assemblies. Then you will combine those items into our end product.
Responsibilities
⢠Install "through-hole" components into printed circuit boards, solder, and inspect
⢠Cut, strip, tin and complete wiring harnesses
⢠Wind coils using winding machine, and build antenna/sensor assemblies
⢠Assemble, by hand, our final product using common tools and hardware
⢠Produce accurate record of production quantities, time, rejects, and other necessary reporting
Qualifications & Requirements
⢠High school diploma or equivalent required.
⢠***Proficient at soldering through-hole and SMT components
⢠***Demonstrated success in a circuit board assembly and/or batch-production environment is desirable
⢠Work well individually (self-managed & motivated), and as part of a team with personnel from all levels
⢠Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
⢠Proficient with hand tools and possess good hand and eye coordination
⢠Legible handwriting and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instruction in English
⢠Valid driver's license
Full time, 40 hrs/week, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Located in Irondale (Birmingham), AL. Steady work with a small firm providing variety and room to expand in job knowledge and experience.
