Operations Manager Needed for Jefferson/Shelby County AREA.

Previous Ready Mix Experience Required

7-10 Years Experience as Manager Required

We have an excellent opportunity for a Operations Manager. Operations Manager Position will manage Jefferson/Shelby County territory of the ready mix operations, including the supervision of drivers, scheduling of driver and plant personnel with dispatch, coordination of job sites, management of plant operations and management of raw materials.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Oversee and manage ready mix concrete deliveries to commercial, construction and residential projects.

- Document each delivery and complete all paperwork that may be necessary.

- Develop product knowledge and understand the importance of quality & service.

- Adhere Shelby Concrete's operational policies, procedures and standards.

- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.

-Must have the ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in supervising the hourly workforce. These tasks include: hiring, directing, training, organizing and conduct hourly employee performance reviews.

- Maintain plant housekeeping, environmental, and safety policy to comply with Company, State, and Local governing rules.

- Control and minimize plant costs while providing a consistent quality product.

- Capable of measuring raw material inventories and the ability to order and maintain inventory levels sufficient for the successful ongoing operation of the batch plant.

- Must have a thorough knowledge of the automated batch plant operation.

- Develop sales strategy: Create a plan for the company's sales.

- Set sales goals: Establish clear objectives .

- Analyze sales data: Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

- Report on sales activity: Provide updates on sales performance.

- Ability to pass a drug screen.

- Ability to work flexible shifts.

- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers.

- Other duties assigned as needed.
