T&I Cloud Managed Services is responsible for delivering cloud services that enable and accelerate the delivery of both revenue-generating and internal applications. The CMS team flexes to support business-led software development with modern patterns and practices that streamline software development lifecycle and operational processes across multiple public cloud providers.
This is a true hybrid role where skills in management, software development, cloud architecture, networking, security, and systems administration can be applied daily, and offers the opportunity to work with a virtually endless array of technology, tools, patterns, and practices. In your role as the Devops Engineering Manager you will be an integral part of a team responsible for end-to-end enablement of hundreds of application teams moving to or operating in the public cloud. Your mission is to support each client's distinct vision and requirements in their public cloud journey, while applying your knowledge to continuously improve business outcomes, security posture, and service experience. The ideal candidate for this role will excel at learning new technologies and will be comfortable balancing multiple priorities both large and small across a wide variety of technology specialty areas.
Role-Specific Responsibilities
Provide L3-4 operational support to application teams in Azure, AWS, GCP
Deploy and manage cloud resources using infrastructure-as-code patterns and tooling
Provide cloud architecture, engineering, and tooling guidance to application teams moving to the cloud
Participate as a member of an Agile Release Train, continuously delivering value to our stakeholders
Leverage your knowledge of public cloud patterns, practices and tooling to enhance our client business outcomes and our service offering
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments
6+ years of experience in a relevant technology role
3+ years of experience architecting, deploying, supporting IaaS and PaaS cloud infrastructure in Azure, AWS or GCP
3+ years of experience deploying, configuring, managing Linux and Windows systems in large scale environment
2+ years of experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
Demonstrated proficiency with two or more relevant programming or scripting languages. Examples include Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Linux shell scripting
Exceptional communication skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with both business and technical teams
Ability to participate in periodic on-call rotation
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred
Experience with CICD pipelines with tools like Azure Devops, GitLab, GitHub Actions, AWS Code Build/Code Pipeline, Jenkins
Working knowledge of container/microservice patterns and tools, for example Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, AWS EKS, Azure ACS, Azure AKS, Google GKE
Working knowledge of serverless cloud architecture
Experience with Linux/open systems packaging mechanisms like APT, RPM, PyPi, or similar
Experience with APM/monitoring tools such as Microsoft OMS, AppDynamics, DataDog, or NewRelic
Experience with analytics tools such as Splunk, Elastic stack
Knowledge of non-relational databases like Cassandra or MongoDB, and relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL
General knowledge of networking, DNS, Active Directory, firewalls, load balancers
