Description We are offering a contract to full-time employment opportunity for an Accountant in Birmingham, Alabama. The role involves various accounting duties with a focus on managing receivables and payables, account reconciliation, and serving as a primary resource for accounting discrepancies. This Accountant position offers a hybrid work schedule. Candidates must be commutable to the Birmingham, AL to be considered for this position. Responsibilities: Manage the receivable and payable processes for assigned markets Act as the key resource for resolving accounting discrepancies Conduct regular reconciliation of all accounts according to internal control guidelines Oversee month-end close processes Handle the submission of all vendor payables to Accounts Payable for processing Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage large data sets, including use of Pivot tables and V Lookup.Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation is essential Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
