Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in Birmingham, Alabama. This role is in the manufacturing industry and requires expertise in general ledger accounting and management of accounting operations staff. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general ledger accounting work, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Spearhead the process of closing the books, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded. Supervise and lead accounting operations staff, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment. Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure timely and accurate processing. Oversee budget processes, providing insights and making necessary adjustments. Conduct month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded. Generate and present detailed financial reports, providing insights to stakeholders.Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Functions. Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Familiarity with Auditing practices and principles. Ability to conduct Month End Close procedures effectively. Experience in Financial Reporting and interpretation of financial data. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
