This position will be based out of APC Headquarters in Birmingham, AL.

Hybrid work schedule (both in-office and telecommute); currently three (3) days in-office and two (2) days telecommute (subject to adjustment).

This position will require minimal travel (day and overnight, up to 20%) and the ability to work successfully in a remote/virtual environment with access to internet service.

JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a skilled HR Business Analyst to join our Operations HR team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing workforce data, generating insightful reports, and supporting reporting tools. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to drive data-driven decision-making. By providing actionable insights, you will support executive decision-making and enhance strategic planning. You will collaborate closely with fellow HR analysts to create innovative and efficient processes for workforce data reporting and trend analysis. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze large datasets, develop predictive models, and uncover insights that support our mission to deliver clean, safe, reliable, and affordable energy to our customers. This position is based at the Alabama Power HQ in Birmingham, Alabama, and may involve occasional overnight travel within the Southern Company service area.Major Job Responsibilities:

Compile, analyze, and report on workforce data from the Oracle HCM system or other identified sources, ensuring timely delivery of scheduled reporting deliverables.

Help leadership understand and utilize key metrics through easily understandable formats for informed decision-making.

Communicate findings and analytics clearly for strategic initiatives, regular updates, and presentations.

Develop and maintain automated processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Collaborate with fellow analysts to exchange best practices and seek opportunities for process improvement and standardization.

Undertake special projects as assigned.

Perform analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data while identifying and correcting errors to ensure data integrity.

Develop, implement, and validate predictive models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.

Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to key stakeholders.

JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a business, data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics or related field preferred.

Professional Experience: 2-5 years of experience in data analytics.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft data analytics tools, including Power BI. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI or similar.

Software Skills: Proficient in Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Prior experience with Human Resources Information System (HRIS) software preferred, but not required.

Analytical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and create clear, compelling data-driven narratives.
