DescriptionO'Neal Steel currently has an opening for a (2nd Shift) Machine Operator at our Birmingham facility.The Machine operator sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Job Requirements

Ability to operate a variety of processing equipment including, but not limited to, saw, shear, press brake, roller, plasma, laser, etc.

Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.

Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.

Ability to use measuring tools such as: tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.

Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract in fractions and decimals.

Responsible for providing high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.

Shift: Must be able to work 2nd Shift (12:00PM - 8:00PM) Monday - Friday.
