Description As a Patient Registrar, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming registration process. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting and verifying patient information, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service. Proficiency in Cerner, Meditech, and Epic systems is highly preferred to support our commitment to efficient and accurate patient care. This position will be coming available soon in Birmingham, AL.Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously.
Register patients by collecting and verifying personal and insurance information.
Accurately enter patient data into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
Address patient inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and confidentiality standards.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient experience.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a Patient Registrar or in a similar role.
Proficiency in using Cerner, Meditech, and Epic EHR systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
