Description If you're an experienced accountant with a keen eye for accuracy, there's an exciting opportunity through Robert Half for you to check out at a growing firm. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. You'll also be participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This role also involves the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments

Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings

Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision

Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation Requirements - Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

Recent and relevant accounting experience

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

Ability to meet deadlines

Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

Skills in GAAP Accounting

Knowledge of Audit Activities

Experience with Fixed Asset Accounting

Quality experience with Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation

Prior experience with Prepaid Expense

Hands-on experience with Sales Tax

Good understanding of intercompany

Solid understanding of Budget Processes

Comprehension of SOX

Journal entries experience preferred

Solid understanding of CapEx

General ledger experience

Deep understanding of General Journal

Proven knowledge of year end closings

Previous experience working with Intercompany Accounting

Adjusting Journal Entries experience desired

Well-founded grasp of account reconciliation

Month end closings experience highly desired

Earlier work involving Pivot Table

Wide ranging experience with VLOOKUP

General familiarity with bank reconciliations

Practical knowledge of Monthly Account Reconciliation

Proficient in ERP systems

Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Competent with spreadsheets and databases
