As a Traffic Engineer, you’ll play a key role in planning, designing, and implementing traffic solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability. You’ll work closely with state and city planners, civil engineers, and public stakeholders to develop data-driven strategies that support Alabama's growing infrastructure.  This is a unique opportunity to work on innovative traffic operations and planning efforts that improve mobility and safety across urban and regional networks. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct traffic impact studies and operational analysesDesign and review traffic signal systems, signage, and pavement markingsCollaborate on transportation planning and corridor studiesUtilize traffic modeling software (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, HCS)Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and agenciesSupport public engagement efforts and respond to community concerns
