Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to work for an expanding organization in the Huntsville, AL area. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your key duties will consist of tasks such as managing outgoing bills and payments, processing daily transactions and expenses, and communicating with vendors. This Accounts Payable Specialist position is a contract to full-time position.Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable duties.
Oversee vendor relationships and handle inquiries.
Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis.
Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
Prepare bank deposits and manage bank reconciliations.
Experience working in Great Plains software is a plus
Process payment transfers and monitor the organization's income and spending.
Assist the accounting department in monthly closings.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post, manage accounting figures and financial records.
High accuracy and attention to detail.
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
