A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties: Assists the Admissions Associate Director of Recruitment with various initiatives and objectives. Performs complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in operations and planning in the Admissions department.Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only): Assists the Associate Director of Recruitment with program activities and staff in admissions recruiting for the transfer student population. Assists with establishing goals and objectives to support transfer student access and success. Participates in activities involving the projection of the University’s image to the public, assisting the student’s transition into the University, keeping the University aware of changing characteristics of students, and securing for the University the students who can best profit from the educational opportunities offered by the University. Assists in reviewing applications for admissions and making decisions on admittance or denial to the University. Develops and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates policies and procedures and monitors compliance with policies and procedures. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations. Monitors budget expenditures. Manages, arranges, and implements events. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of others. Oversees the preparation of management and productivity reports and studies. Trains faculty and staff. Participates in strategic planning. Performs other related duties as assigned.
