Provide technical and business services to support AvMC IT Asset Management (ITAM) functions.
Contribute to a successful ITAM that supports the operational aspects of all AvMC IT, which in turn positively impacts the services provided to the end user.
Support a lifecycle centric model for the coordination of all IT lifecycle aspects of a given Asset Category.
Support the following functions, as well as any other functions required to enable successful performance, within each Asset Category:
Financial Management: Budget Forecasting, Charge-back Models, and Cost Allocation/Tracking
Accountability Management: Asset Discovery, Inventory Operations, Supply Discipline, and Asset Database Audit
Procurement Support: Procurement Schedules, Contract Requirements Packages, Obtaining Procurement Approvals, and Supporting Contract Performance Oversight
Configuration Management: Lifecycle Strategy/Management, Asset Management Database, and Utilization Monitoring (including, but not limited to activities to upgrade/downgrade software to approved versions, and processing software requests through the Approved & Disapproved Software (ADS) system)
Operational Management: Vendor Management, Portfolio Management, Service Requests, Service Integration, and Requirements Determination Assurance: Obtaining Cybersecurity Approvals, Obtaining Governance Approvals, IT Asset Policy Development, and Remediation (including, but not limited to coordinating the transfer of software to isolated environments or removal from the network)
Support these activities with personnel within the Office of the CIO/G6, other staff sections and directorates within AvMC, and with external stakeholders.
Maintain technical expertise with the full range of business and technical capabilities to assist with further implementation and continuous process improvement of ITAM initiatives.
Perform asset management functions in accordance with applicable Army regulations and AvMC policies/guidance by adhering to: AR 710-1, Centralized Inventory Management of the Army Supply System; AR 710-2, Supply Policy Below the National Level; AR 710-3, Inventory Management Asset and Transaction Reporting System; DA PAM 735-5, Property Accountability: Financial Liability Officer's Guide; AR 735-5, Property Accountability: Policies and Procedures for Property Accountability; and AR 25-1, IM: Army Knowledge Management and Information Technology.
Ensure compliance with software End User License Agreements and recommended hardware maintenance schedules for AvMC IT assets
Receive IT-related equipment, verify accuracy of delivery, and document/input information in Government approved management information systems.
Coordinate with AvMC G4 staff to apply appropriate barcodes to equipment, store equipment in designated locations, coordinate the transportation of equipment to appropriate users, and support tracking of the supported IT equipment.
Prepare required documents and paperwork for DA Forms 2062 and DA 3161 for hand receipt holders regarding newly purchased items, the transfer of items, the transport of property to another location, and turn-in/disposal of existing property IAW the Army regulations cited above.
Conduct routine assessments of IT assets to determine appropriate placement, inventory levels, and configuration of enterprise IT assets. T
Perform lifecycle management of the AvMC infrastructure, to include managing End of Life (EoL) / obsolescence for all asset categories.
