At Old Dominion we are looking for individuals to join the OD Family that will provide innovative solutions and exceed expectations to keep OD the premier transportation solutions provider.Investigate minor damage and shortage claims and communicate with claimant relevant to the claim activity and conclusion.Primary Responsibilities
Gather detailed information and paperwork relating to the claim to establish carrier liability
Determine if the claim is qualified to be paid as presented based on documented evidence
Attempt to locate shortages on shortage claims and then process claim
Answer calls and emails from internal and external customers in regards to claims handling and statutes
Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and processed in timely manner
Transmit claims to agents or interlines when liability is established
Provide Service 2.OD to internal and external customers
Job QualificationsEducation:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
1 year of claims, Over Shortage and Damage or transportation experience
Self-motivated with willingness to learn
Proficient with Microsoft Office and AS400 preferred
Excellent typing and telephone skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
