Northrop Grumman is looking for those to join the Command and Control, Communication and Computer Missile Defense (C4MD) Business Unit in support of our programs, in Huntsville, AL. This position may place candidates anywhere within C4MD, on programs such as IBCS, Wisla, ISD, or IRADs.An NGC DS Systems Engineer performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Performs algorithm development and mathematical modeling to complex problems. Qualifying candidates should be familiar with statistical analysis, probabilistic analysis, application of mathematical principles, using numbers and equations to analyze and explain complex systems and processes, and create software that forecasts events, performs analysis, and creates simulations based on data sets.Start Date Contingent upon PlacementBasic QualificationsEngineer Systems (ENG02): 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with MastersPrincipal Engineer Systems (ENG03): 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD

Secret clearance to start

Familiarity with scripting languages such as MATLAB/Python

Systems analysis or testing experience

Experience with algorithm development

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to adapt to challenges to changes in software and other environments

Experience creating and delivering presentations that convey analysis and findings to customer

Salary Range: $83,300 - $124,900Salary Range 2: $102,400 - $153,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
