Find your future with us.Boeing is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer/Editor or Mid-Level Technical Writer/Editor to support the National Team program. The National Team is a strategic program supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and includes a unique relationship with other industry partners; work is performed behind a firewall and executes differently from other Boeing programs. The program is a part of the Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) division of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). The role is required to be in Huntsville, Alabama .Position Responsibilities:Level 3

Reviews work in progress, disputes and discrepancies.

Gathers input and reconciles conflicting comments.

Writes, edits and proos technical, proposal and promotional text and artwork.

Verifies consistency and clarity of communication.

Defines scope of project, negotiates agreement and monitors status.

Develops concepts and proposals for new content management.

Negotiates approaches to content structure and design.

Determines content requirement for regulatory treatment, coordination or approval.

Level 4

Review, edit, and organize document and briefing content using MS Office applications to achieve customer specifications and objectives.

Edit complex technical text and artwork.

Analyze and develop new, innovative communications solutions for customers.

Identify, apply, and enforce applicable standards (e.g., Government, industry, customer, Boeing) to ensure documentation product conformance and integrity.

Resolve issues regarding regulatory, classification, and legal requirements.

Interface with subject matter experts on an ongoing basis and coordinate production services to ensure that products meet objectives, stay on schedule, and are successfully delivered.

Use existing configuration management systems and processes. Determine approaches to content structure and design. Develop, document, and use project-specific editing guidelines, styles, tools, templates, and processes to achieve product requirements and integrity within cost and schedule objectives. Conceptualize and negotiate approaches to content structure and design to ensure effective communication and compliance with standards and guidelines. Update Document Production Team records, library, and archives, as needed. Provide expertise related to emerging trends and technology in the Technical Writing industry.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Huntsville, AL.This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3 or more years of proven experience as Senior Technical Writer/Editor

Expertise in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Working knowledge of SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive company information responsibly

Current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance post-hire

Successful experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-driven production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Senior Level 4 : More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Bachelors Degree or higher

Ability to work within a team environment

Clear and effective communication

Graphic experience

Typical Education & Experience:Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).Level 4 : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
