Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Software Engineer in Huntsville, Texas. This role is within the education industry, where you'll be tasked with re-writing an old website using a traditional LAMP stack. The successful candidate will be responsible for Android development, using Atlassian Jira, Backend development, Bug tracking, and C programming.Responsibilities: Re-write and update an old website using PHP in a traditional LAMP stack. Develop Android applications as part of the software solutions provided. Utilize Atlassian Jira for project management and bug tracking. Carry out Backend development to support the functionality of the software. Implement C programming in software development processes. Conduct A/B testing to optimize user experience and interface. Adopt Agile Scrum methodology in managing various software development projects. Develop APIs to facilitate communication between different software components. Utilize ASP.NET in the development and maintenance of web applications. Apply CSS for the presentation of the website, including layout, colors, and fonts. Requirements Possess proficiency in Android Development Experience with Atlassian Jira is necessary Must have a solid understanding of Backend Development Proficient in Bug Tracking Strong knowledge of C programming language Demonstrable experience with AB Testing Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology Prior experience with API Development is a must Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Demonstrable ability to work with CSS Excellent communication and teamwork skills Strong problem-solving capabilities Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required Must have a thorough understanding of software engineering principles and techniques Experience in an educational setting is a plus.
