Provides administrative and clerical support for all personnel; in addition to accurate typing, filing, and scheduling, performs duties such as record maintenance, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, performing statistical processes, and participating in the completion of special projects. Also, is involved in routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Deals with a diverse group of external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workloads.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Greet public in person and on the telephone in a welcome, professional and friendly manner
Perform general administrative and clerical duties including typing, copying, disseminating exact and correct information and filing in an organized and timely manner.
Create and maintain files according to Pathway policy and applicable agency standards.
Order and maintain inventory of office equipment and supplies
Vigilant and comprehensive attention to detail and confidentiality and security of protected health information, paper files and computer data.
Type general correspondence, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc; proo for spelling, grammar, and layout; responsible for accuracy and clarity of information.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associates Degree in Business or similar discipline preferred.
Have the ability to make social perception, to make good judgement, to have the ability to resolve complex problems and to have excellent decision making skills.
Knowledge of the Alabama Medicaid Plan preferred.
1 year experience in a clerical/administrative position in a medical environment preferred.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
Human Resources Experience a plus
