Enter requisitions for various needs such as MRO, services, capital equipment, and operating supplies on behalf of the mill support team.
Coordinate with the Mill Stores team to transport parts and equipment to their final location within the mill.
Establish parts staging areas in the mill and organize parts for capital projects.
Verify and reconcile bill of materials (BOMs) with received parts before installation to ensure completeness.
Collaborate with procurement personnel to expedite parts, explore alternative options, handle invoices, and address service-related issues.
Ensure that contractors scheduled to work on-site are approved in the ISN system and resolve any pre-arrival issues with them.
Conduct contractor safety orientations before the start of new projects.
Skills:
strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within a mill environment.
Familiarity with contractor services such as electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and engineering.
Ability to write scope of work (SOW) documents.
Understanding of various purchase contract types (T&M, Fixed Cost, GMax, Cost+) and their appropriate usage.
Proficiency in reading and validating bill of materials (BOMs).
Ability to address issues with vendor front offices related to safety training, invoicing, and service quality.
