B&S Machine Shop has an opening for general shop floor help and support.
This position is for general shop and grounds maintenance and could possibly lead to a production position within our company. (Production position is using machine tools to manufacture customer parts)
Daily task will include
1. Managing materials for recycling
2. Emptying recycle barrels
3. Keeping the shop clean
4. Emptying trash barrels
5. Running errands
6. Maintaining Lube levels in our equipment
7. Mechanical equipment repairs
8. Production assistance
9. Painting equipment as well as manufactured parts
10. Disassembly and assembly of coupling assemblies
Hard Skills required
1. Mechanically inclined
2. Operate a forklift safely
3. Lite welding a plus (but not required)
4. Lite carpentry
Soft skills required
1. Dependable
2. Dependable transportation
3. Self motivated
4. Willingness to discuss new projects and to follow plans and instructions
5. Prompt
6. Willingness to work overtime when required
7. Safety minded
