Looking for someone to cover delivery route Friday and Monday nights. Must have own transportation being a dependable cargo van or an enclosed trailer. I possibly have an enclosed trailer for use if you have a dependable vehicle to pull it. Must have valid drivers license and social security card. Job duties are meeting in Greenville, Al at the designated area to unload cargo (auto parts) from box truck into your vehicle or trailer. Meet up time is usually in between 10pm and 11pm. Truck occasionally runs a bit early or late. Must be able to be on time regardless. Unloading generally takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Once loaded up, you will travel to Saraland, Al, stopping at two stores on the way to offload their merchandise. All stores are closed. Drops will be made in storage rooms using provided keys. Unloading at the stores generally takes 5 minutes or less. Once in Saraland, you will offload remaining cargo to three other drivers. Arrival time here is usually in between 1:30am and 2:30am. The entire route takes 5 to 6 hours to complete each night. Must have a cell phone and good driving record and can pass a background check. Must also possess good communication skills (texting or calling) after load up or with any problems. Again, this is an overnight route to avoid traffic conditions. Twice a week, Monday night and Friday night, 10 to 12 hours combined. Pay will be $400 and you are responsible for fuel. It cost me about $60 a night using a truck and enclosed trailer. This will vary depending on your vehicle type. I drive from Saraland to meet in Greenville and it is about a 2 hour drive there, just for some reference. Two nights a week is a trial run and will most definitely lead to five days a week if that is what you are looking for and if you work out. This is a 1099 position. If this sounds like something you are looking for, please feel free to contact. There is also a full time route opening as well if anyone would be interested in discussing that option.
