Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Somerset County. This role requires you to manage the comprehensive accounts receivable cycle, where your primary responsibilities will be generating invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring timely collections. Responsibilities: Generate and dispatch invoices to customers Track customer payments and ensure they are received in a timely manner Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and transactions Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure all receivables are recorded and processed accurately Handle customer inquiries regarding their accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies Engage in the collection of outstanding balances from customers Utilize Accounting Software Systems to perform various accounting functions Conduct month-end close activities related to accounts receivable Manage cash activity and check processing Ensure adherence to policies for accounts receivable.Requirements Possess at least 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar Expertise in Accounting Software Systems Proficient in carrying out Accounting Functions Demonstrable experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to perform Billing Functions effectively Experience in handling Cash Activity Skilled in Check Processing Familiarity with procedures to Post Payments Ability to handle Month End Close tasks Experience in Collections activities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
