Software Developer REMOTE WORK
Position Description
CGI Federal is looking to bring on a remote software developer to support an contract for the Air Force. ILS-S provides logistics planning and analysis for U.S. Air Force operations. Our support encompasses performing sustainment of the technical baseline, consolidating/integrating existing AF LogIT capabilities, and provide new capabilities/features. Your future duties and responsibilities
• Will implement standard methodology development techniques and perform testing as part of the software creation process
• Requires a strong knowledge of generally accepted testing practices and business rules as well as the testing and development processes
• Working under supervision and adhering to established procedures for quality assurance, this person should be able to test and analyze software components to ensure usability and applicability to the business environment and customer during the software development life cycle including post-implementation/deployment phase
• Work with a skilled team in an agile environment to support a growing platform, utilizing your Java/JavaEE/JavaScript development skills.
• Job requires testing per project demands, writing test cases, taking part in peer reviews, participating in design sessions and code reviews
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Systems, or other technical degree
• 5 years development experience with Java, JavaEE, and Spring
• Experience in RESTful Web Services development
• Development experience with React JS, CSS, HTML
• Demonstrate competency with SQL databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience in developing scalable and secure applications.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a NAC (National Agency Check)
• Must be US Citizen
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with DoD and Air Force IT applications
• Experience with Agile Software Development
• Self-starter. Ability to take initiative and ownership
• Security+, JMS, SOA, Jenkins, Technical College Degree
Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $125,000- $135,000
